Data Update- 3                                   The fluctuating employment rate in BC . The following bar chart shows the average unemployment rate of full time students in BC over the last 5 years. The 5 year time span basically highlights the pre, during and post-covid period. Excel Workbook link and explanation:  As stated in the original Excel Sheet of  the original data set or the Raw data set, it shows the unemployment, employment and participation rate of full time students. In the Data Slice section, it specifically highlights the Employment Rate of full time students in BC. With the shown percentage it declines over the last month. As, it is 39.4 % in September 2023 and falls to 36.6 % in February 2024. In all these bar charts and line graphs the data allocation has been done reasonably well with proper color schemes and points on the graphs to easily navigate the viewer. In Figure 3 with the data being so precise the data is closely packed as there is less difference. So, the use of points on the graphs helps us in understanding the data easily. But when the data is constantly changing it becomes hard to keep up with the difference at every step. Therefore, the variations in data can be highlighted more accurately because if the line graphs aren’t clicked the data isn’t shown which eventually becomes hard to understand for the readers. The division of years and months are a bit hard to differentiate as there is a constant change in every step and it cannot be tracked. The gap between 1990-1991 there have been so many changes, but the month wise segregation cannot be seen.   Neighbourhood Assignment Postal Code: V3X 1T1 Census Tract: 9330185.23 Total Population: 3266 Neighbourhood Description: The moderately populated 128 St of the Surrey, Newton area is a family neighbourhood that is surrounded by a decent number of learning institutions. THREE MOST INTERESTING FINDINGS 1.) This neighbourhood seems more rich .  The median total income of households in 2020 was $116,00 in Surrey, Newton when compared to $90,000 in Vancouver. When we think about the area and population we expect the income to be more but it's the other way around. With the increased number of immigrants in this section of the city the income happens to increase when compared to Vancouver. 2.) The neighbourhood is comparatively more educated than the metropolitan area.
